CSA Announces Mike Clark as Managing Partner & More News for 2016

As you know, 2015 was a memorable year for Cassady Schiller, with many significant events that made our 25th anniversary year very special. In a quick review, here are the top events of last year. Jim McGrath joined as a Partner in our Wealth Management Services group; we were recognized in the business community as a Goering Center Family and Private Business All Star Award Winner; and we were acknowledged by our peers as one of the Best of the Best Firms to Watch by Inside Public Accounting. That’s not all. We also moved to our new Westlake Center office in Blue Ash later in the year and celebrated with an Open House.

Thanks to the support of our clients and the dedication of our people, Cassady Schiller is poised for even more success in the future. In line with our firm’s long-range strategic plan, we are starting 2016 with more good news about some other great moves that will make our next 25 years just as notable.

Effective today, there are a few changes in Cassady Schiller’s leadership structure:

  • David Cassady will become Chief Growth Officer
  • Mike Clark will succeed David to become the firm’s new Managing Partner
  • Jim McGrath will succeed Mike to become the new Director of Wealth Management Services
  • Heather Bucher, Cassady Schiller’s CFO, will become our newest Partner and Chief Operating Officer

These changes reflect the firm’s continual growth and are due to the many leadership contributions that Mike Clark and Heather Bucher have made in helping Cassady Schiller become one of the highest-performing independent, Cincinnati-based, financial services firms in the region.

In moving to Chief Growth Officer, David will now focus his efforts toward expanding our client roster; mentoring and helping younger employees grow professionally; adding new capabilities, resources and external partners; building new relationships; and making new connections across the community. Our two founding partners, David Cassady and Bob Schiller, will remain engaged in strategic roles to help guide our next generation of leaders to ensure the firm executes our long-term goals while continuing to provide clients with the personalized financial counsel that they count on from Cassady Schiller.

Mike has been with Cassady Schiller since 1994, and since then, he has served in a variety of operating assignments across every facet of our business. He has held ascending leadership positions while playing a significant role in the expansion of our wealth management services’ capabilities. Mike’s diverse financial services background gives him a unique perspective on the breadth of capabilities and professional counsel that we provide in order to ensure that our clients meet their goals. His tireless commitment and trustworthy approach make him well suited for this key role.

In preparation for Mike’s move to Managing Partner, last June we recruited Jim McGrath, one of Cincinnati’s most highly regarded investment advisors and financial planners, to join the firm as a Partner. Since then, Jim has quickly immersed himself in our wealth management team and helped deliver more value to our clients including even greater sophistication in investment and estate counsel. In his new role, he’ll continue to boost our capabilities to meet the investment and consultative needs of our wealth management clients and accelerate the growth of this practice.

Over the past decade, Heather Bucher has made many contributions to the firm as our CFO. Building on her extensive financial background, including roles as a CPA and CVA, she has championed several innovative initiatives and successfully integrated new technologies across Cassady Schiller. In the execution of those new programs, Heather has gained in-depth insights on our work processes, while making certain our operating principles are never compromised. As one of our strongest leaders, she’s perfectly poised to become our newest Partner and help our firm stay on track in the new role of Chief Operating Officer.

We’re excited to share this news with you. These changes have been planned for some time and every one of these leaders is well prepared for their new responsibilities and future challenges. We know you’ll join us in wishing all of them well in their new roles.

Looking ahead to our next 25 years, we will continue to strengthen our relationships and honor our commitment to be your trusted business advisor for many more years to come.

Sincerely,

Michael Clark
Managing Partner
