Gail Waham, CPA, CDFA
Gail joined Cassady Schiller in September 2001. Gail specializes in serving the business and tax needs of closely-held businesses and high net worth individuals. She also has experience in implementing a wide array of tax planning strategies and techniques.
Gail has over 30 years of experience in taxation, including 6 years with an international “Big 4” accounting firm and 6 years in corporate taxation with Fortune 500 companies. Gail enjoys the close interaction with clients and the opportunity to serve as a valued business advisor. The personalized service approach favored by Cassady Schiller was a major factor in her decision to join the firm.
Gail’s previous experience in public accounting was concentrated in the areas of real estate, construction, light manufacturing, banking and savings and loans, restaurants and tax-exempt entities, including private foundations. She has extensive experience with corporations, partnerships and LLCs. Gail’s experience in corporate tax includes joint venture formation, employee benefits, executive compensation planning, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, trading operations, mark-to-market accounting and foreign currency transactions. She also has a number of years of experience with the IRS Audit and Appeals process.
Gail holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati. She also obtained her MBA in Quantitative Analysis from the University of Cincinnati.
Gail is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), and the Cincinnati Woman’s Club. Gail is also a board member and treasurer for United Coalition for Animals (UCAN), board member and former treasurer for Sterling Run Farm HOA, and a member of the Cincinnati Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
